Hello
I'm Susan, the person behind "MakingPants4Fish". I grew up in Ohio under my Mom's craft booth and now live in the shadow of the Smoky Mountains. My interests vary but I'm excited to share them with you. I have worked in wood, clay, metal, paint, fibers and fabric. I started piecing tops when I was about 10 years old at the encouragement of my grandmother who had me embroider all the state flowers. Through the years, I married, raised six kids and worked in various mediums. I always been able to sew and complete tops very slowly. Now that the house is emptying I want to help others complete their own tops by quilting them.
Why "Making Pants 4 Fish" ?
When I was little and would go into the room where my dad was working, I would ask what he was doing without really looking at what he was doing. He would respond by saying "Making Pants for Fish." It was usually quite obvious what he was doing. I have always liked hearing that answer and now that he is gone, I am reminded of him, and it just makes me smile each time I hear it said. I want to share my various interests and would like to help others finish their quilting projects by quilting those tops that are laying around.
